Dear Paragon Parents,
One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to step away from the meetings, emails, and schedules and spend time with our littlest Knights. Yesterday, I had the chance to read a book with some of our 3 and 4 year-olds, and looking at this picture afterward reminded me of something I love about Paragon: our children get to grow up surrounded by a community of people who know them and are invested in who they become.
That sense of community doesn’t happen by accident. It is built in classrooms and hallways, at morning drop-off and afternoon pickup, on field trips and birthday parties, and especially when our families have opportunities to spend time together. We want you to know your child’s friends, their parents, their teachers, and the people who make up the larger Paragon family. The more connected our adults are, the stronger the village becomes for our children.
And we are heading into one of my favorite seasons for building that village! October brings several opportunities to come together, including Trunk or Treat, our Día de los Muertos Party, and Open House. I hope you’ll make plans to join us. Come even if you’re tired. Come even if your calendar is packed. These are the moments when names become familiar faces, acquaintances become friends, and school begins to feel like home.
It is crazy to think that our preschoolers listening to a story today will be our elementary students before we know it. Along the way, they will collect teachers, friendships, traditions, memories, and an entire group of adults cheering them on. Our Paragon Village is a pretty great place to grow up.
So as we head into this busy fall season, I hope you’ll lean into the opportunities to connect. Introduce yourself to another parent. Stay a few extra minutes at an event. Meet a family you haven’t met before. Show up when you can. We want our families connected because when our community is strong, our children are surrounded by something incredibly powerful: a true sense of belonging.
See you around the Village soon!
Wishing you a wonderful week,
Lindsay Hay, M.Ed.
