Dear Paragon Families,
As we begin this new stretch of the school year, I want to start with a heartfelt thank you. To the many families who have already re-enrolled for next year– thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your continued belief in Paragon. As of today, 74% of our families have re-enrolled, and we are hopeful to return to our 83% re-enrollment rate from last year. If you are still considering your plans, re-enrollment remains open through Monday, and families who complete the process by then will receive $100 off the registration fee.
Choosing to re-enroll at Paragon is about more than logistics: it’s about choosing a school that brings heart, community, and care to academic rigor. It’s what we call high expectations with humanity. We believe deeply in knowing our students, supporting our families, and creating a place where children feel safe, challenged, and genuinely valued. That commitment doesn’t waver as the year goes on. It’s who we are, every day.
This time of year also brings what we lovingly call “the doldrums.” Winter settles in, the holidays are behind us, and Spring Break feels impossibly far away. Everyone, adults and kids alike, starts to resemble the weather a bit: quieter, more tired, sometimes a little gray. We’re ready for it. If your child comes home more emotional, more sensitive, or more easily frustrated, please know that this is expected and developmentally normal during this season.
I’ll share that as a parent myself, I’m working to give myself more patience and understanding, too– I’m navigating my own doldrums right alongside my kids. One of the most powerful things we can do right now is stay connected: ask about the highs and lows of the day, listen without rushing to fix, and share how we manage stress and the demands of our own days. When children hear that big feelings are normal and manageable, they feel less alone.
Together, as a school and as families, we can help our children process these complex emotions with compassion and confidence. Thank you for walking this journey with us, and for being such an important part of the Paragon community. I am grateful for you.
Warmly,
Lindsay Hay, M. Ed.
