Paragon Prep in Austin, TX

Dear Paragon Parents,

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had some wonderful conversations with parents who have asked thoughtful questions about the “why” behind Paragon—why we teach certain things, why we make particular decisions, and why some of our traditions have become such an important part of who we are. I love these conversations because they remind me that our parents are not just invested in what their children are learning, but also in understanding the philosophy and purpose behind their education.

One thing I hope you always know about our leadership team is that we listen. Whether it’s a formal meeting, a quick conversation at drop-off, or a question asked in passing at a school event, we take your feedback seriously. And when we hear recurring questions or recognize an opportunity to communicate more clearly, we want to do something about it. Transparency is important to us, and we believe that the more you understand the “why” behind Paragon, the stronger our partnership becomes.

With that in mind, I’m excited to announce that Mrs. Behr is launching a new newsletter called “The Paragon Perspective!” This new series will take a deeper dive into the questions parents are asking, exploring the reasoning behind our curriculum, educational philosophy, policies, decisions, and beloved traditions. Think of it as a behind-the-scenes look at what makes Paragon, well, Paragon! I’ve already had the opportunity to read the first edition, and I cannot wait for you to read it, too.

And here’s where you come in! Is there something you’ve always wondered about Paragon? A decision you’d like to understand better? A tradition you’re curious about? Send us an email! We would love to hear your questions and may even feature your topic in an upcoming edition of The Paragon Perspective. No question is too small, and sometimes the simplest questions lead to the most meaningful conversations.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead! We have another exciting week in the Paragon Village, and I look forward to seeing many of you at our Día de los Muertos Party and Open House. Thank you, as always, for being such an engaged, thoughtful, and important part of our school community!

Wishing you the best this week,

Lindsay Hay, M.Ed.
