Paragon Prep in Austin, TX

Dear Paragon Parents,

What a wonderful time we had last night at Trunk or Treat! Our campus came alive with costumes, creativity, candy, and lots of smiling faces! I especially loved having our preschool friends join us for the festivities. Seeing our youngest Knights celebrating alongside our elementary and middle school students was a great reminder that, even though we have two campuses, we are one big Paragon family. Thank you to everyone who decorated trunks, handed out treats, and helped make the afternoon so memorable!

As we head into what is arguably the busiest season of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates about everything happening behind the scenes at Paragon. Between our traditions, celebrations, campus improvements, and plans for the future, there is certainly no shortage of activity around here! While our calendar may be packed, it’s all part of what makes our little Paragon Village such a special place to learn and grow.

First, a huge shoutout to our incredible PoP (Parents of Paragon) team! They have been hard at work helping us prepare for our upcoming Día de los Muertos celebration and Open House double whammy! Hosting two major events so close together is no small feat, and our PoP volunteers have been instrumental in helping us organize, plan, and bring these experiences to life. We are so fortunate to have parents who generously give their time and talents to make our school community even stronger. These events truly wouldn’t be the same without them!

We also have some exciting campus improvement news to share! We are currently working with a firm to begin the initial feasibility phase of determining whether our campus has viable space for a gymnasium! This is very much an exploratory first step, but it’s exciting to begin investigating what might be possible for our students and programs in the future. Additionally, our plans for a new playground shade structure have officially entered the permitting phase. You may remember that our previous shade was crushed under the weight of ice last winter. What seemed like a straightforward replacement has turned into a much longer process of redesigning, planning, and navigating the necessary approvals. We are thrilled to finally be moving closer to getting that much-needed shade back on our playground!

It’s an exciting time to be a Knight! From the joyful traditions that bring our families together to the behind-the-scenes work that will help shape our school’s future, there is so much happening at Paragon. I am grateful for the incredible partnership between our families, teachers, staff, and volunteers who make it all possible. As we head into the whirlwind of the coming weeks, I encourage everyone to enjoy the celebrations, embrace a little of the chaos, and remember that these are the moments our children will look back on fondly. We’re building more than a school year together. We’re building memories, traditions, and a community that lasts.

Wishing you the best this week,

Lindsay Hay, M.Ed.
